Found this nice environmental comics while surfing and enjoyed it very much. Hope you like it too. The cartoon is updated every week curtesy of cartoonists Dan Wright and Dave Ponce. This will be a sticky post (a post that always stay at the top of the main page of a blog). To find out how to make a post sticky, hop over to How to make a post stay on top. New posts, if any, will be after this post.
Update: 2 August 2007: The cartoon seem to have stopped being updated every week. The date has therefore been changed so that it is no longer a "sticky post".

Yup! Sums up my thoughts exactly (unless one is diabetic). I'll take a little sugar, or none at all!
Happy to visit a fellow Malaysian blog. Come visit me also.
There are two ways to solve this problem:
1. Leave it up to the governments of the world, who will take from us three to five times as much as they need to do the job, and then do only one-third to one-fifth of the job.
2. Let things start getting bad and watch private industry solve the problems at near 100% efficiency. While you worry about suffering from environmental hazards, go and buy yourself protection.
Meanwhile, please be careful about encouraging politicians to take more of our hard earned money and spend it on our behalf.
Hi Hoe Bing,
I have checked out your blog The ADHD Podcaster and found it very informative. Congratulations on a job well done. I have put a link to your site on the sitebar.
Very interesting blog... Plenty to mull over...
Will be back...
This is a great blog.
Keep up the good work.
what is your e-mailaddress ?
Al Gore is coming out with an environmental documentary, and the trailer for it looked pretty good. I think he wanted to touch on some pretty big issues like the icebergs melting. I hope to find out when it's coming out and watch it. Maybe you can look into it too. I think the solution lies with each person, we just have to do our part.

Greetings!
I found your blog by doing a Blog-Search. For the past two weeks, Global Warming has been on my mind, and I've even had trouble sleeping. I'd like to become more involved in things to do to help stop it. If I had the money, I would buy a hybrid/electric car.
The state I live in {GA} has been cutting down too many trees!!! They are not replacing them, not even by 25%. This is a major problem to me since trees give us oxygen! I have your link on my blog: What else can be done?
cinnamonpurls.blogspot.com
Cut your consumption of other products and services such as water, paper, washing detergent and waste disposal.
Carpool.
Save Electricity.
Turn off lights, the television, and the computer when you are through with them.
Save energy by sometimes taking the bus, riding a bike, or walking.
Planting trees.
Recycle.
Buy energy efficient products.
Use solar energy.
etc.
Greetings! I'm a child of the woods, and in the last 10 yrs. I've seen the deforrestation of my state! Even the beautiful leaves that turn colors now, have a bunch of dark circles on them??!!!
That is sad, and I hope the trend will be stopped and hopefully, even reversed.
Hi Peter. Guess who I am?
Peter as I told you over and over it works.
I couldn't figure out another way to contact you, but you left a question about how Gavilan came up with the top 10 worst domain names...he stole them from somewhere else and passed them as his own genius:

Hey Peter, I think you have an awesome perspective on life. I just wanted you to know I am also on the lookout for mother earth. I run a website called EverythingDining.com which is an online restaurant directory. On the site I offer a spot for restaurants to post a copy of their take-out menus. Right now because the site just went through a database renovation, no menus are available. If you know of any ways to help get their menus on there it will help to save paper and help reduce tons of waste. Thanks so much peter. Happy Thanksgiving as well - Tim Rose
Hi Tim,
When your online menu is ready, and you can give me more details about your restaurant on how you try to assist Mother Earth, I will be happy to make a post with a link to your website. For example, I read a newspaper article about how they started (forgot the actual term, so now trying to use the nearest) a earthworm culture to turn their food waste into something useful and reduce the load on the landfill. Yours probably may be a smaller outfit, but if you have something similar, I will be happy to highlight it, and link to it. Just comment on this blog again. A good reason for you to bookmark or put a link to my site on yours.
Hi, sorry to bother you, i just wish to know how can i get some readers to read my blog, I believe you are a expert, could you spare a minute and advise me please. Thank you.Beatrice
Hi Beatrice,
Read this post: How to build
traffic to your blog. I believe it will help you. Best of luck to you.

Hello peter, thank you for sending me a link to help me, however, each time that i click how to get more traffic in your blog, I get a blank page. I refresh it,retry it, nothing it's just blank. I just thought I let you know. thank you anyway. Beatrice
Hi Beatrice,
Thank you for alerting me to that bug. I have tried the link myself and got a blank screen too. I tried accessing from the Blogger Dashboard and got the same result. I just can't figure out why. Anyway, to see if it is caused by something in that post, I copied the content word-for-word into a new post, and it displayed OK.
Here is the link to that duplicate post: Duplicate: How to build traffic to your blog
Thank you Peter for responding so quickly, I will try now. I'm so glad to see that other people are worried about the environment, I have used your little carton on my blog i hope you don't mind.
Hi Beatrice,
You are welcome to use the cartoon. I fact, I am happy that you use the cartoon and hopefully recruit more "greenies". However, a link back to the post or to the blog will be highly appreciated, though not compulsory.
Hey Peter, thanks for the comment. Your comment has inspired me. Its currently just an idea however I have some powerful ideas that I believe will go very far. Regards - Tim
Hey, Cleveland is a great place!
Sorry for the delay peter. The most important obstacle I am trying overcome is the ability to stop wasting paper menus and make available every menus online. Also by offering ridiculously low cost advertising for restaurants I am aiming at reducing the wasteful paper ads most restaurants rely on. The traffic is increasing every day and hopefully you and others will use the site to discover new restaurants and not have to throw away their ad after you find them. thanks a million peter - Tim Rose
Hi Tim,
Can you tell me more about what you are trying to do. Maybe I will feature you and your endevour in one of my environmental blogs.
Peter
I heard you are the man to go to with problem with blog: My question is this...how do u transfer the whole content of one blog to another blog. I am not talking individual post ..but past archieves to transfer to new blog. Thank you in advance. please email me at mydestiny@gmail.com
One easy way is to just change the URL of the blog to a new blog URL (subject to availability).
Another labourous ways to transfer is to do it manually copy-paste one post by one post. Here you will have to make sure you are in the EDIT HTML mode. However, the comments will not transfer.
You can backup your blog using HTTrack (see post How to backup your blog, but I haven't tried using that to transfer content of one blog to another.
I am sorry if the answer is not very satisfactory, but that is what I know is available. There may be a hack, but I have not come across it.

Hi Dr A,
I see that you have already put up a notice that your blog will be discontinued, which means you don't want it anymore. I am guessing you still want the content but with a different URL. Just go to SETTINGS > PUBLISHING and change the URL there.

Thank for the help...so using either
blog collector or HTTrack website copier and then repost them to my other blog...is that correct?
Hi Dr. A,
I am afraid you missed the point I am trying to make. BlogCollector only works for the old classic Blogger template, not for the New Blogger template. HTTrack works for both, but is for backing up your blog by making a mirror of the site. I don't know how to use the backup to restore the blog, so I don't know how to transfer to the new URL, or even to the current URL. I can only use if to view my blog offline if necessary or to burn a CD so that people without access to Internet can view the blog.
If you just want the blog to have a new URL, just go to SETTINGS > PUBLISHING and give your blog a new URL and everything including the comments will be there.
The other method, opening your post one by one in the EDIT HTML mode, copy the content, go to your new blog, paste the content (in the EDIT MODE) in a new post, and do this for each post is very labourous and does not include the comment, which wouldn't transfer.

I already linked you to my blogroll. The same would be appreciated.
Hi Peter & other greenies -
On the eco-comic front, be sure to check out www.kabman.org. Hilariously dry humor, and a nice (albeit light) site.
My favorite episode is #2 - RECYCLE OR DIE!
Godspeed.
Luvin' the environment comic!
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock somewhere, you’ve seen the ads for the Live Earth concert series. This 24-hour, 7-continent series of 9 concerts sounds pretty cool and personally, I’m looking forward to seeing the Black Eyed Peas and John Mayer (luv him!).
I checked out the website (http://liveEarth.sympatico.msn.ca) and I actually found some neat stuff on it like the “Green Tip of the Day.” The site’s best feature is the live feeds from each of the cities hosting events so I can watch John Mayor live on my lap top. I can even go back and see any performance I want again via VOD. Rock on!
Hi Chantelle,
Thanks for the alert on http://liveEarth.sympatico.msn.ca
I visited that site and saw one green tip - use compact flourescent lamps instead of incandescent lamps. I have been struggling over that one. How do we get rid of compact flourescent lamps when it conk out? There is no party that will accept them, so unless you want them to pile up in your home, the only way is to get the rubbish men to help, which means landfill. It is rather like the normal alkaline or NiCad batteries in my country (I think Nokia accept non-working handphones and batteries). What do them when they run out of juice?
